However, after that I was experiencing the problem in 3. Sometimes it requires a restart of Steam or a new subscription to trigger the downloads after the deletion. It stores which workshop files have already been downloaded by the client for KF. If you have less than 50 items subscribed and Steam is not downloading any file whatsoever of a subscription (nothing appears on the download page of the steamclient), you can go to the ""C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\\ugc\" folder and delete the file named "1250_subscriptions.vdf". This bug may occur especially after you have subscribed an item, that couldn't be extracted. Especially Animations from workshop weapons can be found there. You can find parts of the downloads in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\\ugc\referenced\" directory. In some cases Steam starts and completes the workshop downloads (as seen on the Download page of the client), but then there are no files in the KF directory (neither extracted, nor TempArchives). Steam/KF not creating TempArchives after downloading stuff You can take a look at your KillingFloor.log to see, which file is causing the problem and unsubscribe the corresponding item.ģ. A typical symptom of this problem is the download indicator in KFs mainmenu, that always downloads the same file again afer restarting the game. This is quite annoying and probably not Steams fault.

Whenever KF fails to extract a single TempArchive, it won't extract any others aswell.

It seems to be the most common problem for people that complain and can be fixed by simply unsubscribing stuff.

I think I've read somewhere, that this applies to all games. What I've identified as different issues: Some of which seem to be in the hands of Tripwire. There seem to be several different issues with the workshop of Killing Floor. I can confirm that other workshops work without any trouble (L4D2, Portal2, Gunpoint, Monaco, Cortex Command, Hammerwatch etc).
